Xander Bogaerts' defense has been taking some criticism throughout the season.
The Baseball Show panel discussed the young shortstop's defense.
Sean McAdam sees positives, but notices Bogaerts has trouble making plays to his left.
"You see the athleticism, the ability to go into the hole." said McAdam, "Sometimes he hasn't been able to finish it off, but at least he's stopping balls from going through. You don't see that on balls near second base."
If he begins to struggle in the field, do the Red Sox make a move?
"If he doesn't show the range people anticipated, to me, that's not enough to give up on him." said McAdam, "If he is making errors on routine balls and costing them games, with the inability to get to balls that most average, decent shortstops can get to, you have to re-evaluate."
