Gary Tanguay and Michael Felger discuss the nominees for the Sporty for the best moment of the year.

The nominees for the award are the National Anthem at the TD Garden after the Marathon bombings, David Ortiz's home run vs. the Tigers, and Gregory Campbell braving a broken leg to finish a penalty kill.

"The Bruins were the right team to be playing following (the Boston Marathon) tragedy." said Gary Tanguay.

"That moment still gives me chills. That moment obviously transcends sports." added Felger, "If we're sticking strictly in the sporting realm, it's David Ortiz. It's going to go down because it led to a championship."

Trying not to take anything away from Campbell, Felger says the moment was missing one thing, a championship.

"What's going to hurt Gregory Campbell in that moment, as it relates to awards such as this, they didn't win a championship" said Felger, "When you go all the way, every single moment leading up to it gets immortalized."

The award goes to… David Ortiz
