Our Sports Tonight crew debates which player deserve a second chance with their former Boston team. They discuss potential returns of athletes like Phil Kessel, Jonny Gomes, Paul Pierce and Wes Welker.
The general consensus was that none of these players were desirable.
"No, I don't like [Pierce's return to Boston]," WEEI's Tim Benz said. "I do think he has a little bit left, but they've got to go a different direction. They need someone who's in their prime right now to be the stud of this team and then build around him. I know he's a complimentary part -- or he could be -- but as much as I like Paul Pierce and as much as I want to see the Celtics win, but I don't think this is a fit."
