PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Brad Stevens will unvail a second starting lineup in as many games, with Gerald Wallace in and Jeff Green out for the second preseason game, Wednesday night against the Knicks at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

Wallace had a team-high 16 points in the Celtics' 97-89 preseason loss to Toronto on Monday. Green had just four points on 2-for-7 shooting.

While some will certainly see Stevens' decision to have Green come off the bench as a demotion, Stevens was quick to clarify that is not the case.

"It has nothing to do with Jeff," Stevens said. "It's just something we want to tinker with. He's [Green] doing fine. We're asking him to do a lot."

Green has played power forward most of his NBA career, but saw a considerable amount of playing time at small forward last season.

Earlier in camp, Stevens said Green will add some minutes at shooting guard to his already-heavy plate of responsibilities.

However, Stevens sounded as though the plan for Green will be scaled back some.

"We probably have to simplify it earlier now, keep him at two spots instead of three spots," said Stevens who added that it is still unclear as to which two positions Green will be called upon to play.
