Brad Stevens discussed the pros and cons of calling a timeout in late-game situations with Brian Scalabrine on Celtics Insider.
“You go into every game with an idea of what you might run if you have the ball on the side or if you have the ball on the last possession,” Stevens explained. “Sometimes you’re gonna stop, call a timeout, and run something. Sometimes you’re gonna advance the ball, sometimes we’re not going to, and sometime you feel better off not calling a timeout if you have the ball."
