The timing of the All Star break puts a halt to a recent burst of momentum that has seen the Celtics win four of their last six games.
Now, they must wait.
Celtics coach Brad Stevens says he's not worried that the break will disrupt his team's momentum.
"I think the break is good for everybody. I think a lot of teams in the league are beaten up physically and we have been as well. I think it’s a good thing for everybody no matter when it comes.
"I think our momentum is that we’re starting to understand each other’s strengths better," says Stevens. "I think it’s that we’re starting to defend within our system better."
The Celtics will return to the court on Wednesday to kick off a four-game Western Conference swing against the Suns, Lakers, Kings and Jazz.
