Throughout this rebuilding season, the question has been asked over and over again - should the Celtics try to tank?

Bill Simmons joins Mike Gorman to discuss.

"I’m not a believer in tanking," says Simmons. "I think you do what you can."

Some have advocated for a cellar-finish in the hopes of securing a better pick in the NBA Draft.

"The irony with the lottery is, you don’t necessarily need to get one of the top three picks to get one of the best guys," says Simmons. "[The Celtics are] going to get a good player."

Some of the best players from last year's draft were taken with picks higher than eighth; players like Trey Burke (9th) and Michael Carter-Williams (11th).

"There’s not a [Kevin] Durant in this year’s draft," says Simmons. "There’s not a guy that you’d throw your season away for."
