Report: Ray Allen considering Celtics comeback

After departing Boston for Miami -- ending the quick reign of the new Boston Big Three -- Ray Allen left a bitter taste in the mouths of Celtics fans.

But in a recent interview with Dom Amore of the Hartford Courant, the sharpshooter discussed that not only is he considering a comeback -- but the Celtics are among the teams he's looking at.

"I would love going back to those places if it worked out," Allen told Amore about rejoining the Celtics or Bucks -- his first NBA team. "Because both teams are good, too. It doesn't necessarily have to be a championship-or-bust for me to go back to the NBA."

"I want to be in a situation where I thought I could help, play a little bit and help where they have good young talent."

So Allen doesn't mind the idea of playing player-coach to help one of his old franchises transition in their rebuilding process. Something that might not only help the Celtics young players continue to develop, but Brad Stevens, as well.
