There was no way to mask the emotions Jeff Green was feeling after Friday's 99-97 loss to Golden State.

He had 24 points and 11 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double. It was an omnipresent performance for Green, who has often been accused of disappearing in games.

But the end result -- another loss -- left Green in no mood to celebrate his play.

"We lost," he said. "It hurts. Period. We fought, we fought, we fought. We gave ourselves a chance. It still hurts to lose."

The pain might run a little deeper for Green, who lost control of the ball in the final few seconds of play, even though it wound up in the hands of a teammate.

"Luckily Gerald [Wallace] had a chance to make the shot," Green said. "On that play, I can't lose it off my foot. That's on me."

The late-game gaffe aside, Green has put together a pair of games that give hope that he can do it on a more consistent basis. Of his recent stats, rebounding is the one that jumps out at you.

In his last two games, he has averaged 11 rebounds per game.

"That's just me getting rebounds, being in position to get them. I'm just trying to be aggressive on the boards," Green said.

And in doing so, that'll bring the Celtics closer to snapping their seven-game losing skid.
