The Boston Celtics season has been over for two weeks and Glen Davis is already working toward next year. On Thursday Davis posted the first installment of Summer Training videos on the AYO Baby Blog, presented on his official website, www.iambigbaby.com.

Davis tweeted for viewers to check out his post workout meal, which included chicken burgers, pasta and kale.

In his blog, Davis wrote:

Whats up guys! I thought I would dust off my flip cam and record some footage of this summer. I am very excited to start working out again, set some summer goals and really get ready for next season. It is all about a balanced lifestyle, putting time in at the gym and eating right. I have a great team around me and as you will see my main man, my trainer, is already trying to one up me in the first edition of AYO Baby Blogs! Its all love, haha. Check it out. Stay tuned for more

Davis will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and while its uncertain where he will be playing next season, he wants to be ready to contribute.

After establishing himself as a reliable sixth man on the Celtics, his productivity dropped during this postseason. He averaged just 4.0 points(31.8 FG) and 2.4 rebounds during the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Miami Heat.

Davis admitted during the series, Ive been nowhere to be found this whole playoffs. I need to find myself.

Doc Rivers told WEEI's Dennis and Callahan Morning Show he thought the whole contract thing affected Davis play, and felt trying to score became too much of a priority for him.

"Weve got to get him back in the right frame of mind," Rivers said. "Babys a good basketball player. He can help us or any other team. But, to me, only if he plays the right way.

Adding about Davis future with the Celtics, Rivers said, Yeah, if we can get him for the right price. I think it would be nice, but we cant overpay."

Report: Thomas won't need hip surgery

Danny Ainge told the Boston Globe Wednesday that Isaiah Thomas will not need surgery on his right hip after being hampered late in the postseason.

Thomas originally suffered the injury March 15 against the Timberwolves and missed two games before reaggravating it in Game 6 of the second round against the Wizards. He played the first two games of the Eastern Conference finals but was shut down for the final three.

“Isaiah is making good progress,” Ainge told the Globe. “He’s out on the court; he’s shooting. He’s full-speed ahead on the stationary bike and working in the swimming pool. He’s progressing nicely.”

The Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach wrote that the team waited for swelling to go down before determining whether surgery would be needed, and that “barring any further setbacks,” he will not.

Thomas is coming off a career year in which he averaged 28.9 points a game. He is entering the final year of his contract.
