The Celtics radio home for this season and beyond will be 98.5 The Sports Hub. A multi-year deal between the team and the radio station was announced Thursday. Terms were not disclosed.
Celtics games had been broadcast on WEEI since 2005-06, but the station and team parted ways in August. The radio broadcast team of play-by-play man Sean Grande and analyst Cedric Maxwell, a former Celtic, will move to The Sports Hub as well. The Sports Hub has the rights to the Bruins, Patriots and now Celtics. When B's and C's game conflict, Celtics games will move to WZLX-FM (100.7), another CBS Radio-owned Boston station.
The Sports Hub will broadcast select preseason games, all regular and postseason games, and produce pregame and postgame shows.
The Celtics open the regular season in Toronto Oct. 30, with the home opener on Nov. 1 against Milwaukee.
Comcast SportsNet New England remains the television home of the Celtics.
