BOSTON — The Celtics continue to shrink both in size and number of available bodies.
The Celtics were down to just nine players for the game Wednesday night against Atlanta which, like Boston, are dealing with a slew of injuries as well.
When asked about what starting lineup he would go with tonight, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens responded, "a unique one."
Joining Rajon Rondo in the backcourt will be Jerryd Bayless, while the frontcourt will consist of Jeff Green, Brandon Bass and Kris Humphries.
Stevens decided to start Bayless instead of Gerald Wallace because Wallace would be playing a decent amount of power forward with the latest Celtic out with an injury being Kelly Olynyk.
The 7-foot rookie sustained a toe injury against the Sacramento Kings and re-aggravated it against the Utah Jazz two nights later.
Joining Olynyk among the Celtics to not play are Avery Bradley (ankle), Vitor Faverani (knee) and Jared Sullinger (concussion).
