Celtics coach Brad Stevens has already coached as many games in the NBA - 36 - as he would have in a college season in his old job at Butler.

Six-game losing streaks, such as the C's find themselves in, were pretty rare at Butler, too. Celtics insider A. Sherrod Blakely said on SportsNet Central that the losing could make Stevens a better coach as his NBA career continues.

"He understood when he came on board that [losing] would be part of the package," Blakely said. "But you're starting to see some frustration...This year is not about but winning but developing winning habits."

As Stevens understands what it's like to drop a number games in a row, he'll "learn to treasure and value" those victories that used to come so easily at the college level, Blakely said. "Down the road, it will make him a better coach."

People remember Doc Rivers for the 08 title with the Celtics, Blakely said. Remember that Doc was also the coach who lost 18 in a row the year before.
