Marcus Smart made his Orlando Summer League debut last week, and left his mark.
A. Sherrod Blakely joined Sports Sunday to discuss what he saw from the Celtics first-round pick.
"The one thing I like about him is his composure," said Blakely. "His ability to pass the ball, his ability to read coverages and maybe most important, his leadership qualities… Watching him play, there's without question he is a born leader."
One question mark for Smart is his ability to shoot the ball.
"He's got great mechanics on his shot," said Blakely. "A lot of his shots were literally in-and-out-type shots. The one thing I liked about his offensive game, you never really got a sense that he was forcing consistently. He took a few bad shots, like all guys do. For the most part, his offense came within the framework."
