BOSTON — There's no doubt that Kevin Love going to Cleveland will dramatically change the NBA landscape this season.
But how much?
Now that the Love deal is officially complete, online betting site Bovada has Cleveland as the favorite to win it all with the odds currently at 5-2.
Behind the Cavaliers are defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs (4-1), the Chicago Bulls (11-2) and perennial Western Conference power Oklahoma City Thunder (6-1).
Not surprisingly, the Celtics are among the longest of long shots to bring home a title this season with the site setting the odds for Banner 18 at 100-1.
The outlook is more favorable when it comes to the Celtics' youngsters who hope to be in the hunt for the Rookie of the Year award.
The odds that Marcus Smart, drafted by Boston with the No. 6 overall pick last June, will be rookie of the year are set at 14-1. The odds-on favorite, according to the site, is Jabari Parker (3-1) followed by Andrew Wiggins (4-1) and Nerlens Noel (6-1).
And the odds that Boston's other first-round pick (17th overall) James Young will be rookie of the year? 40-1.
