BUFFALO The Bruins will mix things up a little against the Buffalo Sabres at the First Niagara Center on Sunday night as backup goaltender Anton Khudobin will get his second start of the season. He was likely always set to start the game with Tuukka Rask scheduled for duty against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Saturdays postponed game, and the Bruins coaching staff is simply following through on that plan.
On the season Khudobin is 1-0-0 with a 3.00 goals against average and a .906 save percentage in his only game of the season for the Black and Gold.
As for the rest of the Bruins lineup against the Sabres, Brad Marchand will play, though it appeared early on he would sit. Shawn Thornton and Daniel Paille are back in the lineup on the fourth line as well. Thornton and Paille each missed two games with injuries, and Marchand missed one.
