Saturday, July 9: Canucks seeking forward help?

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading, after having been blown away by the five part 30-for-30 on the O.J. Simpson trial revisited.

*A rumor roundup for Spector that includes the Vancouver Canucks looking for another forward after signing Loui Eriksson and perhaps this time one with a little jam.

*The New Jersey Devils are unsure of what looms for Patrick Elias as he attempts to come back from a major injury.

*Big, promising D-man Jakob Chychrun is one to watch at Arizona’s development camp after he slid to the Coyotes in the first round.

*PHT writer Cam Tucker has Phil Kessel undergoing hand surgery after playing through an injury for most of the playoffs. What. A. Warrior.

*Tucker also has Landon Ferraro signing a one-year, two-way deal with the St. Louis Blues after being let go by the Bruins. I still don’t  understand the B’s cutting him loose after he showed the speed, tenacity and grit – along with the occasional offensive outburst – needed to play a fourth-line role in the NHL these days.

*The Anaheim Ducks trade for goalie Jonathan Bernier to back up John Gibson, which should paint the picture for delusional B’s fans that thought the Ducks were going to come looking for Tuukka Rask in trade.

*For something completely different: I’ve never been a big Carmelo Anthony fan, but he is right on with his thoughts in the wake of the Dallas police shooting a couple of days ago.
