Report: Agent texts there will be no Vesey decision today

As expected when Jimmy Vesey’s agent, Peter Fish, laid out the original timeline of meetings with NHL teams, they’ll be no decision today on Vesey’s destination, WEEI.com’s DJ Bean reports:

“No decision today,” Fish said in a text to WEEI.com, adding that the player was “just taking everything in from the past couple of days and trying to digest and sort through.”

Fish told the Boston Globe that Vesey could narrow the field to a few finalist by Thursday night. His final decision may not come until the weekend.

Vesey, the coveted Hobey Baker Award winner from Harvard, met with eight NHL teams, including his hometown Bruins (he’s from North Reading, Mass.), who got the last shot Wednesday when they hosted him for 2 1/2 hours at their new Warrior Ice Arena training facility off the Mass Pike in Brighton.

“It’s a pretty attractive selling piece,” Fish told the Globe about the new practice facility in Brighton. “It’s pretty much first class with the locker rooms, the kitchen they’re going to have for the players, and how the ice itself looks out on the highway."

CSN Bruins Insider Joe Haggerty reports on the details of the Bruins’ pitch to Vesey in the video above.
