The loss of defenseman Dennis Seidenberg to a season-ending knee injury has been felt by the Bruins in their past five games. Among the numbers are three losses and seven power-play goals allowed. Bruins insider Joe Haggerty, in this edition of One-Timers, said the loss of Seidenberg became glaring while watching defenseman Adam McQuaid getting caught out of position for the three power-play goals scored by the Anaheim Ducks in their 4-2 victory over the Bruins on Tuesday night.

Haggerty also hints at a possible end of the line with the B's for Jordan Caron, who has been without a point since the second game of the season and has recently been losing playing time to rookie Justin Florek. With Shawn Thornton poised to return from his suspension, will Caron be the odd man out?

Haggs has thoughts on a revitalized Daniel Paille and more in his weekly One-Timers.
