Neely: Bruins-Canadiens Winter Classic ‘made perfect sense'

It's official.

The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens will add a new chapter to their historic rivalry on New Year's Day in the Winter Classic.

Bruins president Cam Neely is excited about bringing the outdoor game to the state of Massachusetts again especially against their rivals.

"I really thought it made perfect sense," said Neely. "There's so much history between the two franchises and so many great games over the years. I knew that Montreal would certainly bring a couple busloads down here to Gillette, so that would add to the atmosphere. But it really made sense."
