Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading on a Sunday, following some truly epic weather yesterday in Boston.

*Sidney Crosby is excited about the alterations made to the Pittsburgh Penguins’ roster and has high hopes for the upcoming season. Much like the Bruins, it seemed like last season something was very wrong with their team: the sum was less than its individual parts.

*Former NHL coach Marc Crawford is happy to be guiding top prospect Auston Matthews as he readies for a season in Switzerland, which really deviates from the normal pathway for a potential No. 1 overall pick.

*Ryan Johnston has clearly angered somebody at 98.5 The Sports Hub: how else to explain being forced to stare at this all morning in the studio?

*More details are emerging in the Patrick Kane situation in Buffalo: he has employed an off-duty police officer for the last five years.

*Ken Campbell has the long and winding road of big goaltender Ben Bishop, who paid his dues en route to success in the NHL.

*Paul Stastny said that he’s ready to take over a larger leadership role with the St. Louis Blues now that T.J. Oshie has been traded to Washington.

*For those interested in tax law, the Boston Bruins have reportedly filed a case looking to gain tax deductions for meals they are providing the team with while on the road.

*For something completely different: I have a really good feeling about this
