Morning Skate: Dougie Hamilton finding his stride

Share

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while the Bruins take a well-deserved day off after a long five game road trip that finished with the second half of back-to-back games vs. Toronto at TD Garden.

*PHT writer Cam Tucker has Montreal defenseman Alexei Emelin destroying Paul Stastny with a massive hit in last night’s Habs/Blues game.

*FOH (Friend of Haggs) Greg Wyshynski has an impassioned plea that John Scott belongs in the All-Star game, which means this whole situation has become an absolute dumpster fire for everybody involved. The big (and only) winners here are the Pacific Division All-Stars if they don’t have to carry Scott on their All-Star roster.

*Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray is not done dealing after shipping Carl Hagelin to the Anaheim Ducks this weekend.

*The jury is in for the Winnipeg Jets, and goaltender Conner Hellebuyck is for real. It’s a great story with the former UMass-Lowell standout goalie.

*Patrick Stefan moves to Hockeytown to become an agent and a coach at the conclusion of his playing career.

*Former B’s defenseman Dougie Hamilton appears to be finding his stride in Calgary after a tough start with the Flames.

*For something completely different: this Undercover Boss sketch with Kylo Ren at Starkiller Base from last night’s Saturday Night Live was brilliant.
