Monday, Oct. 10: Three-team Trouba trade?

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading, while marveling at the legend of Kenneth Bone, and his magical red sweater.

*FOH (Friend of Haggs) Elliotte Friedman has his 30 thoughts, including an interesting three-team trade scenario with Jacob Trouba that I’ve also heard whispered a little bit in hockey circles.

*File this under reffing ain’t easy in the NHL: a referee got decked in a fight between the Sharks and Ducks players.

*Derek Mackenzie is named the new captain of the Florida Panthers with a very young group primed for a big season.

*Looks like Brooks Laich might not be in the picture for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season after getting put on waivers.

*Radko Gudas is getting that bad reputation after a ton of bad-looking and dangerous hits over the last few years, and his late head shot on Austin Czarnik last weekend certainly didn’t help. He’s trending toward Matt Cooke-dom if he doesn’t change his way.

*New Las Vegas general manager George McPhee feels lucky to have his job running hockey ops for the expansion franchise.

*For something completely different: The Boston-centric episode of "The Simpsons" was a big hit with plenty of hidden and cool Easter Egg references.
