Mike Milbury thinks the acquisition of Thomas Vanek makes a Montreal Canadiens team that has given the Bruins problems even better.

Vanek, acquired from the Islanders and a former Buffalo Sabre, is a player that has given the Bruins fits, so it's a tailor-made match for the Habs.

"It's exactly what Montreal needed. They've got a world class goaltender [Carey Price], a gold-medal winner [for Team Canada]," Milbury said. "This guy, along with [Max] Pacioretty, gives them two legitimate scorers, so they are now a legitimate threat to the Bruins to come out of this conference."

Still, there were also stories of Vanek partying a little too hard at the Olympics and having it impact his performance.

"He's been spotty [against everyone else except the Bruins]," Milbury said. "It could be a little bit of a bad rap...If you're going to go out, a least play harder and and try to make up for it."
