Depth was the key word the Bruins used when they explained their acquisition of defenseman Andrej Meszaros at the trade deadline.
When depth is the best thing you can say, does that mean you didn't get enough?
"I wish it were better," Mike Milbury told Michael Felger on Cross Check. "Even they would probably tell you they wish it were better. Listen, the Philadelphia Flyers gave up Meszaros because they acquired Andrew McDonald [from the New York Islanders]. I saw him last night and he has looked good."
Felger pointed out that Meszaros has been scratched 25 times this season and didn't make his Bruins debut Thursday when the B's played the Washington Capitals.
"He's been scratched that often because he's a sixth, seventh depth guy," Milbury said. "The kids that have been playing for the Bruins, Bartkowski, Krug, Miller, you name them, have been playing really really well."
