Marchand still not ruled out for Saturday

WILMINGTON -- Shawn Thornton and Daniel Paille have both been cleared for contact, and both skated in the Bruins' optional skate on Thursday at Ristuccia Arena. Their status for Saturday's game is still unknown, as is winger Brad Marchand.

Marchand was having his shoulder checked out on Thursday, and did not skate. But Bruins coach Claude Julien still hasn't ruled him out for Saturday.

"He's definitely not a write-off for Saturday," said Julien. "I think a lot can happen in two days, and we'll see how that works out."
