The Bruins announced on Monday, June 16 that Shawn Thornton will not return to the team next year. We remember his time here by re-running some of the interesting stories/videos involving him:

It's time for more rapid-fire questions for the Bruins' Shawn Thornton on the "Dropping the Gloves" segment of Cross Check.

Thornton has had 100 fights with the Bruins since joining them in 2007. In honor of that, what's his favorite fight?

"Most entertaining was probably [Riley] Cote and myself a long long time ago," he said. "I must be getting soft, I used to have 100 every three years."

What did Thornton think of the brief Tim Thomas-Roberto Luongo reunion in Florida? Ex-Bruins goaltender Thomas' old Vancouver rival, Luongo, was traded to the Panthers a day before Thomas was shipped to Dallas, briefly making them teammates.

"I thought it would've been interesting for the first day," Thornton said. "Unfortunately, it didn't last, so we don't have any good stories coming out of it."
