Krejci ruled out against Canadiens

MONTREAL – David Krejci was on the ice for a second straight day with the team during their optional Tuesday morning skate at the Bell Centre, but will miss his 10th straight game when the Bruins take on the Montreal Canadiens tonight.

Claude Julien ruled out Krejci vs. the Habs with just one practice day under his belt after coming back from an upper body injury. Thursday night vs. the Vancouver Canucks or Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets might be more of a realistic target for the Czech-born playmaking center, but it sounds like 19-year-old David Pastrnak will be an option after missing the last two games with his own upper body injury.

"We'll see about some of those guys tonight,” said Claude Julien, following the morning skate. “We'll have some decisions to make tonight.”

Krejci and Pastrnak were among a large group of players on the ice for an optional morning skate in Montreal with only Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, Loui Eriksson and Tuukka Rask missing from the group.

Rask’s absence indicates the Finnish netminder will get the starting nod against the rival Canadiens after giving up five goals to the hated Habs in the Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium a little less than three weeks ago. Here are the projected line combos and D-pairings with Pastrnak up in the air for Tuesday night’s game in Montreal:
