Horton in attendance at TD Garden for Game 6

BOSTON Nathan Horton has been missing from the lineup since being hit by Aaron Rome in Game 3, but he became an inspirational factor for the Bruins Monday night in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Horton was shown during a first-period timeout on the jumbotron after the TD Garden played ahighlight reel of Hortons playoff goals. He waived two yellow towels and was given a huge ovation.

We didnt know that they were going to be doing that andshowing him up there, said Bruins forward Brad Marchand. You know for him tocome in and give us that boost of energy is unbelievable. And obviously thecrowd loves it and loves him and are supporting him every minute of the day. Itwas great to see him out there. He gave us a big energy boost.

Coach Claude Julien said before the game that Horton was still suffering symptoms of a severe concussion but was planning to be in attendance, depending on how he felt.

Hortons update isnt going to change if people are looking for miracles, said Julien. If hes here, it will be pretty special. But right now hes dealing with those concussion issues as we speak."
