·   It must infuriate Ryan Lambert that he writes a column he thinks is a credit to his prodigious talents, and the entire comments section turns into a debate about me. That’s got to be frustrating.
 
·   I’m prone to giving Tyler Seguin a hard time journalistically given the way things ended for him in Boston, but this is a great thing that he’s doing in Dallas.
 
·   Shane Doan has been diagnosed with “some form of rocky mountain fever.” As somebody who contracted Lyme Disease more than 10 years ago, I can tell you firsthand that tick-borne illnesses suck. Best of luck to him in his recovery.
 
·   Marc Spector gives out his Christmas advice for people all over the hockey world, and the words are beautiful in their common sense appeal.
 
·   PHT writer James O’Brien takes us through a setback in Pekka Rinne’s rehab that will take him into January after it was originally thought he might be back by Christmas.
 
·   Should a hot, young prospect go the NCAA route or the junior hockey route? The Globe and Mail attempts to figure it out.
 
·   Nathan Horton has been cleared for contact with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and is approaching a return. He won’t see the Boston Bruins this season, though, as the season series between Boston and Columbus is over.
 
·   For something completely different: Emotional goodbye for John Oliver and the Daily Show after nearly eight years, as he moves on to his own HBO show.
