Haggerty's Morning Skate: Eichel makes good impression

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and everything I’m reading while giving Ben Bishop props for showing something in Game 3. I’ve never been a big fan of his goaltending game, but that was a gutsy performance.

*Nice move by Jack Eichel during Coach’s Corner to present Dandy Don Cherry with a Team USA hockey polo shirt. What a beauty.

*Speaking of Eichel, he’s impressing Western New York and Buffalo even if he remains non-committal about his immediate hockey future.

*Brendan Shanahan has indicated that the Maple Leafs could have a full time GM by the start of the season. There’s a lot of work to be done prior to then in Toronto. It will be interesting to see how it gets done.

*PHT writer and FOH (Friend of Haggs) Jason Brough has the Stanley Cup Final as the official arrival point of Victor Hedman as an elite player.

*Gordie Howe is “comfortable and happy” after a second stem cell treatment in Mexico that has brought him from pretty tough shape.

*If you missed its premiere last night on NBCSN, check out the full Derek Sanderson documentary here. It’s a very well done project by NBC Sports Films.

*For something completely different: Jason Alexander and Larry David both shared the couch last night on Jimmy Fallon.

*For something completely different again: I think I have found what you can all get me for my birthday.
