With Dennis Seidenberg out for the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL, the search is on for his replacement in the role alongside Zdeno Chara on the Bruins' top defensive pairing.
On Cross Check, Bruins Insider Joe Haggerty said rookie defenseman Kevan Miller could skate next to Chara in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
"You heard it here first if it happens, and I think it's trending in that direction," Haggerty said. "His third game in the NHL Claude Julien fed him over 20 minutes. He was on the ice with Zdeno Chara in the last minute of a one-goal game against the Penguins."
"He may be a find," Mike Milbury said. "It's too early to say he's going to be the shutdown guy."
The two also debated the ceiling of second-year defenseman Dougie Hamilton, who has battled injury this season.
