You can count on Mike Giardi and Joe Haggerty to break down the series-clincher in style in the latest playoff edition of the Great American Hockey Show.
The Bruins closed out the Detroit Red Wings with a 4-2 victory in Game 5.
Milan Lucic and the rest of his line set the tone and ensured the Red Wings wouldn't get a chance to jump back into the series.
"That line had their best game of the series," says Haggerty. "You saw long, dominating shifts in the offensive zone where they were cycling the puck, winning battles, getting shots on net, grinding down the Detroit defenders. You hadn’t seen that earlier in the series."
Lucic and Zdeno Chara scored the two middle goals and each came at a moment that seemed to knock Detroit on its heels.
Haggerty called Chara's second-period goal "a gut punch to the Wings.”
Giardi says Lucic's goal, which put the Bruins up 3-1, was the turning point in the game.
More post-game analysis and craziness can be seen in the rest of the Great American Hockey Show.
