MONTREAL – After playing some games with the forward lines during Thursday’s morning skate at the Bell Centre, Claude Julien and the Boston Bruins got down to business for Game 4 against the Montreal Canadiens. Matt Fraser appears to have drawn in on the third line riding left wing with Carl Soderberg and Loui Eriksson to provide a little more offense, and Matt Bartkowski is back into the lineup in place of Andrej Meszaros.
That means Daniel Paille is back on the left wing with his Merlot Line cohorts, and both Meszaros and Jordan Caron are healthy scratches for the Black and Gold. It’s an interesting choice to bring Fraser into the fold among the group set to go against the Habs, but the insertion of the speedy Bartkowski made all the sense in the world against a Montreal team that relies on deadly speed.
The bottom line, though, for the Bruins: their best players need to be their best players if Boston hopes to win.
