"Thornton was about to kill the guy. I don't blame Subban [for ducking] - Michael Felger

Sean Thornton was very irritated after P.K. Subban ducked to avoid a check during Game 2 of the series between the Bruins and Canadiens.

"I'm not a fan of people ducking." Thornton said on Saturday, "I think we've seen a history of that and it causing injuries. And I don't think it's a safe play"

Gary Tanguay and Michael Felger discussed the play on Arbella Early Edition.

"I didn't think it was a dirty play." said Tanguay, "I'm still not sure that Subban didn't slip.  I think he would've gone down anyways."

Felger agreed with Tanguay.

"Thornton got out of the penalty box and was making a B-line towards him." said Felger, "Thornton was about to kill the guy. I don't blame Subban, right there, going for a little bit of self-defense.
