Eriksson injury to test Bruins' depth

BOSTON - Things became a little more difficult for the Bruins with the news that Loui Eriksson is out indefinitely with a concussion, and that their organizational depth will begin to get tested in a big way. Jordan Caron has been added back into the lineup after serving as a healthy scratch for the past two games once Carl Soderberg had returned.

Brad Marchand was elevated back up to the second line with Patrice Bergeron and will fill Eriksson’s spot along with Reilly Smith while Caron will settle back into the third line with Chris Kelly and Soderberg. Matt Bartkowski appears to be the healthy scratch for the third straight game, and Tuukka Rask and Antti Niemi will be the starting goalies for the Bruins and Sharks respectively.  

There was no indication that the Bruins planned on digging down into their Providence team for an extra body with another home game against the New Jersey Devils scheduled for Saturday night at TD Garden. Here are the line and defensive pairings based on pregame warm-ups:
