Kevin Paul Dupont joins Arbella Early Edition to discuss what moves he sees the Bruins making at the trade deadline.

As the trade deadline approaches on March 5 in the NHL, what kind of moves will the Bruins make?

"I think the make a deal for a depth defenseman," Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe told Gary Tanguay on Arbella Early Edition. "I think they'd love to get a second pairing defenseman, but nothing much is out there."

There have been rumors that the Bruins are interested in Islanders defenseman Andrew McDonald. Dupont said he'd pass on him.

"I like what they have here," he said of the B's current defensmen. "They've got some good kids here."

Is it time to give Tuukka Rask and Zdeno Chara some rest in this post-Olympic portion of the Bruins season?

"In terms of Rask, it'll be where they are vis a vis playoff positioning as to whether they back him out a little bit." Dupont said. [Rask didn't play Wednesday in Buffalo]."

As for Chara, Dupont said, "If they don't add a depth defenseman, then he's going to have to stay at 24-25 minutes a game. At his age, he's going to be 37 next month, it's starting to get time to back him down a bit."
