After the Bruins' Game 7 exit from the playoffs at the hands of the arch-rival Canadiens, Hockey Hall of Famer Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe discusses what the B's need to do for next season with Gary Tanguay and WEEI's Kirk Minihane.
Dupont doesn't think the Bruins will get into bidding war to retain veteran Jarome Iginla, now a free agent.
"I think their poised now they can play around for some youth," he said, "Or they can get in the free agent market and I don't even know where that will go.
"I don't think they're going to change the template here. They're going to bring the coach back. Their going to stick with strength and size. That's who they are. Maybe [playoff call-up Matt] Fraser? He does have a big league shot. Maybe he's more than we thought...Change the fourth line a little bit, bring [injured defenseman Dennis] Siedenberg back, add a little defense."
