BOSTON - With the Bruins dropping two straight games to the Devils and Penguins that Claude Julien deemed substandard, the Boston coaching staff has opted for Tuukka Rask in both ends of the back-to-back for the Black and Gold.
He’ll be opposed by Anaheim Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller, picking up more playing time as injuries have ravaged the Ducks on their eight-goal road trip.
Newly recalled Ryan Spooner looks like he’ll be inserted into the lineup to center the third line, and he’ll be flanked by Chris Kelly (right wing) and Carl Soderberg (left wing) while Jordan Caron will hit the bench as a healthy scratch. It was Caron that had a costly turnover in the defensive zone when he fumbled a puck away to Jussi Jokinen for the game-winning goal in Wednesday night’s 3-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Otherwise it didn’t appear like there will be any changes to the Black and Gold lineup as they get ready for a 10-3-0 Ducks squad that’s starting to feel the effects of a physical first month of the season.
