It’s officially the closing throes of summer when the Bruins release their training camp practice schedule, and that day arrived on Friday with NHL training camp set to kick off with medical and fitness testing on Sept. 17 at TD Garden. The full contingent of Bruins training camp participants will then get on the Garden ice for double session practices on Sept. 18, and their first preseason game comes quickly afterward on Sept. 20 vs. the New Jersey Devils at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence.

All training camp practices at Ristuccia Arena are open to the public while it’s to be determined which TD Garden training camp practices will open to the general public. Currently Sept. 25-26, Sept. 29-30 and Oct. 1 are the only NHL training camp practices set to take place at the B’s practice home in Wilmington.

The Bruins rookie camp opens with fitness/medical testing on Sept. 10 at Ristuccia Arena, and the B’s rookies will then spend the remainder of rookie camp along with the Devils and Sabres rookies at a three game rookie tournament set up in Buffalo.

Both the B’s rookie roster and the training camp roster will be released at a later date with the B’s playing a seven-game preseason schedule prior to opening up the season at TD Garden vs. the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 8.
