BOSTON The Bruins' first move in the wake of the news that Marc Savard was finished for the season was to bring back a familiar face. After breaking training camp as a member of the Bruins and showing promise during his time in Boston, Jordan Caron was recalled to the Bruins on Monday night for a second go-round with the Bs.Caron will be with the team at Ristuccia Arena for practice on Tuesday morning. The 20-year-old appeared in 20 games with the Bruins and managed 3 goals and 4 assists before he was assigned to the Providence Bruins on Dec. 6 amid a numbers issue on the Boston roster following Marc Savards activation.Bostons 2009 first-round pick, Caron has shown the versatility to play the wing up and down several different lines and was a key member of the Bs penalty kill unit earlier in the season. Caron put up 6 goals and 11 assists in 27 games for the P-Bruins in Providence in the first taste of AHL action in his career. The promotion of both Caron and Zach Hamill could also spell some competition for a starting spot with Tyler Seguin in the game-day lineups. Seguin isnt as good a fit in a fourth-line role as the gritty Caron has proven to be, and it appears the Bruins want to give Hamill a shot as one of the top three centers before trade options are pursued.
