Bruins-Lighting makeup date appears to be April 26

BUFFALO -- It appears the Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning have agreed on a makeup date for their Saturday game postponed by snowstorm Nemo. The teams will meet he in a rare Friday night match-up at TD Garden on April 26.

The Bruins website had shown a home game on Friday, April 26 where Boston will host the Lightning. There is no time yet set for the game, instead only PPD was listed on the site.

It was thought the Bruins might shoehorn the game into next week before they head to Florida for a road trip through Tampa Bay and Sunshine, but instead theyll put it off to the very last week of the season.

It was one of the few logical open dates for the Bruins as they had three off days between a Tuesday home game against the Philadelphia Flyers and Saturdays regular season finale on the road against the Washington Capitals. That would mean that the Bruins-Lightning game becomes the final home regular season game of the year and that the Bruins will now have six back-to-back situations in the final two months of the regular season in March and April.

The Bruins wouldnt confirm the April 26 makeup date, but it should be mentioned that the NHL populates the schedules on the team websites and had recently been working on a Bruins-Lighting makeup date. The game was also pulled from the B's official team website a few hours later, so stay tuned on this one.
