Bruins drop two straight, lose 2-0 to Panthers

BOSTON -- Tim Thomas fended off nearly 30 shots before the Florida Panthers connected on the first -- and deciding -- goal with under three minutes to play.

Tomas Kopecky scored the go-ahead goal from Shawn Matthias and Dmitry Kulikov to steal the win and hand the Bruins their second straight loss.Kris Versteeg iced the victory with another goal -- and empty-netter -- less than two minutes later from Tomas Fleischmann and Brian Campbell.The Bruins had not lost consecutive games since October.

The B's had their own chances to score, outshooting the Panthers 40-30 in the game.

They will play the Blue Jackets on Saturday on the road.
