Tuukka Rask wasn't happy with his Game 1 performance. Would you swap goalies for this series if you could?

"When you suck, you suck."

This was what Tuukka Rask thought of his Game 1 performance against Montreal on Thursday night, while down the other end of the rink, Carey Price turned away almost twice as many shots.

Not many are being as hard on the Bruins Vezina candidate as he is being on himself, but if you had the chance, would you trade Tuukka for Carey Price for this series?

Bob Beers joins Kirk Minihane and Gary Tanguay on Arbella Early Edition to discuss Rask vs. Price.

Thursday's Game 1 loss was the latest in a long line of struggles for Rask against the Canadiens.

“Until he changes [his performance], that perception is going to be there," says Beers. "I’ve always said the playoffs are a completely different thing. When you get into the playoffs, that’s an opportunity to turn things around.”

Price, however, was the only thing keeping the Canadiens from a 7-4 or 8-4 victory. The Habs net minder turned away 48 Bruins shots.

While Rask is considered one of the best goaltenders around, Price has never been placed in the same company. Gary Tanguay asks if it's time to change that.

“You could put Price near that category," says Beers. "I’m not sure he’s there yet.“

It's important to keep in mind, however, that just because fans don't consider Price to be an elite goaltender doesn't mean the players feel the same.

“Players don’t underestimate what Carey Price is capable of," says Beers. "They know how good he is… they know that they have to be at their best if they’re going to beat him.”

The Bruins will try to be better, or at least hope for better bounces, in Game 2 on Saturday afternoon.
