Borges: Welker did this to himself

Wes Welker received a lesson in Negotiations 101 Monday night on 'Uno's Sports Tonight,' courtesy of the Boston Herald's Ron Borges.

"If you are ignorant enough to put a sign around your neck that says, 'Kick me in the face,' then they should kick him in the face," Borges told Gary Tanguay and Lou Merloni.

"What did you sign that tender for? Why didn't you hold out a year ago -- that's when he really should have held out, when he really had some leverage -- and you fire your agent and you bring in a new agent, David Dunn, a high-powered guy, and then you sign the tender? My son Jack is 5 years old. He could have represented him once he signed the tender.

"And then to act like, 'I thought the Patriots were going to do something?' Yeah, they did. They did what was right for them."
