The United States was able to get out of the 'Group of Death,' but fell to Belgium in the knockout round.

Still, the World Cup fever swept through the country, and continues to stick around after the U.S. was eliminated.

NBC's Russ Thaler, Robbie Mustoe and John Strong discussed what impact the World Cup will have on the U.S.

"This World Cup has taken it to a new level," said Mustoe. "Everybody will taking note of the U.S. now. In future World Cups the USA being in your group is going to be a difficult proposition."

How does the MLS capitalize on the country's World Cup success?

"This has been a significant couple of weeks," said Strong. "Major MLS contributors on the national team and big television ratings. The challenge now is can the league sew some of that back in? Promoting the fact that guys like Clint Dempsey and Michael Bradley play in MLS clubs."
