The Netherlands did not touch their hearts in their grotesque routing of Brazil, to claim the third spot of this 2014 FIFA World Cup.  An affirming 3-0 result alleviated some of the woes the European country suffered in their cruel outing against Argentina in penalty shootouts.

It took the Netherlands only 3 minutes to get on the score sheet, when villainous winger Arjen Robben dived inside the penalty box, completely fooling the ref who awarded the Dutch a penalty kick. Thiago Silva was booked for an alleged pull down on the winger that was clearly made outside the box, the Bayern Munich player, however made sure to fall inside the penalty box in order to convince the ref further of being fouled.

It would be up to Robin van Persie, who executed the penalty from the twelve-yard spot with a precise high shot to the left, far out of reach from Julio Cesar's gloves.
