Sunday's World Cup game between the United States and Portugal generated a lot of interest in the U.S.
Kirk Minihane joined Arbella Early Edition to discuss interest in the sport.
"I like when stakes are high. Stakes were high, so I enjoyed it," said Minihane. "It was the highest rated non-football game in the history of ESPN."
What do the high ratings mean for the future of soccer in the U.S.?
"They will be higher than they are right now," said Minihane. "They will never be as high as the NFL, they're just never going to be."
