TAMPA, Fla. -- In typical Bobby Valentine fashion, he laughed off Ozzie Guillens comments directed at him after the Red Sox win Sunday afternoon in Fort Myers.

Guillen was ejected from the game in the sixth inning for arguing a foul ball call by first base umpire Tim Timmons. As Guillen exited the field to the visitors clubhouse in left field, Valentine waved at himwhich Guillen did not see at the time.

Informed after the game, Ozzie said he did not see it. If he had, he would have offered some very specificaheminstructions to Valentine.

But before Tuesday nights game against the Yankees, a game the Red Sox won 1-0, Valentine just laughed off Guillens comments.

"Isn't that his standard comment on everything?" Valentine said.

"Has he ever not said that about something?"

Valentine said he was simply trying to get Guillens attention.

"I was kind of waving at Ozzie yesterday to get his attention and say goodbye, see you in Miami," Valentine said. "It became a big thing. In spring training."
