FORT MYERS, Fla.Right-handers Andrew Bailey and Ross Ohlendorf are set to make their Grapefruit League debuts with the Red Sox Monday afternoon against the Marlins.

Starter Josh Beckett is schedule to pitch four innings, followed by Mark Melancon (one inning), Bailey (one), Ohlendorf (two), Scott Atchison (one or two) and Jesse Carlson (one).

Bailey was slowed by a lat strain suffered during the vertical leap portion of his physical early in camp.
"Hoping for a healthy start and finish," manager Bobby Valentine said of what hes hoping for Baileys outing today. "This is the first time in this uniform, first time on the mound, first time with new group, first time out after rehab. He can go 15-20 (pitches) and be just as good tomorrow as he is today healthy-wise."

Ohlendorf has been brought along slowing in camp, his first with the Red Sox, because of previous shoulder issues and a sore back early in camp.

His health situation has been a concern all spring, Valentine said. Like with Aaron Cook, who made his first appearance Sunday. If we can get him in and out feeling good then we can start evaluating his performance."

Carlson will be making his third appearance today. In two total innings, the left-hander, who had rotator cuff surgery last season, has allowed one run on a hit and a walk with a strikeout.

"Jesse has been a little bit on and off, Valentine said. Trying to evaluate whether he's fully back health-wise."
